Pride in Partnership3S Packaging Technology the Dietmannsried based designer and manufacturer of cartoning systems and end-of-line equipment are proud to announce their partnership for the supply of a new bag-in-box packaging line for Emirates Grain Products the Sharjah based Iffco Group company. The order was won against stiff competition from both the incumbent and new suppliers on the grounds of advanced technology, versatility, speed, guaranteed efficiency and last but not least hygienic design. In 2009 3S Packaging Technology attended the Gulfood trade show for the first time with their own stand exhibiting a horizontal cartoning machine linked to a vertical bagging machine from their German partner Wolf Verpackungsmaschinen. “We participated in five trade shows last year in Europe, Asia and the Middle East”, Friedrich Kern, Managing Director Marketing and Sales reports. “2009 has been an extremely good exhibition year for 3S with orders following all five trade shows. Gulfood however was by far the busiest show with the most promising contacts for our business.” 3S Packaging Technology has been chosen for the supply of a high speed cartoning line for the Iffco Company’s new powder packaging facility in Dubai. Products from four baggers are cycled into the infeed chain of the 3S full servo continuous motion cartoner Scorpius ES200 by means of four cascade loaders. The system loads single bags, stacks of two bags and even two stacks of two bags side by side into folding cartons. Consecutive the cartoner a stretchbanding machine together with a shrink tunnel complete the fully automatic packaging line. “Clearly we are coming back to this year’s Gulfood, the ideal platform for business in the MENA region. The Middle East is about to becoming one of the key growth areas for our targeted food, chocolate, confectionery and consumer goods markets”, Tony Dunleavy, 3S Sales Director says.
