CAMERA-BASED ROBOTIC
Robotics based automation is becoming more and more important especially in food industries where gentle product handling and higher speeds are required. 3S Packaging NEW duly identified those needs and has specialised in vision based packaging technology.
A randomly incoming product stream is presented to the robots involved in the process. A camera senses the exact position of the products on the feed conveyor. The intelligent software behind immediately determines which of the consecutive robots has to pick which product and where to place it. It is aimed to reduce overflow to a minimum.
It’s not only cartons that can be loaded that way but also the in-feed chain of a wrapper or an end-load cartoner by tracking the conveyor. Other applications are chocolates or cookies into trays and many more.
